Review of Opening Minds (4 DVD Set) by Colin McLeod and Alakazam Magic – DVD

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant! If you trust me, don’t bother reading further. Run out and get a copy or order it online with express shipping! I guess you want something more right? Here goes………

This is a 4 discs DVD set that is packed with 15 effects. Some of you may think, only 15 effects on 4 DVDs? Well, the effects are explained with explicit details, hence the need to put them into 4 DVDs. The DVD box is well packaged like all Alakazam products. Colin McLeod has an accent, when he says “books”, it sounds like “boobs”, well……. jokes aside, the effects range from book test, chair test, newspaper test,  a version of any card at any number, ESP cards, billets to lottery, all mental effects with a his own touch.

The props needed to perform these effects are easily available. The effects are divided into stand up and close up, but you could probably adapt them to suit your performance situation. Most of the effects are relatively easy (sleight wise) though you will still need to study the subtleties and finesse thoroughly before performing it. The effects are cleverly constructed, so are the methods, patters and subtleties. This is probably a very short review for a set of 4 DVDs, but just take my word for it and thank me later.
