Watching this set of DVD is like watching a B movie…only a lot better. The overall concept of this DVD is somewhat different from what you get in the market. It’s just like watching a magic DVD except that this has a story that links all the routine together. Apart from the good routines in this collection, you get to see the very funny side of Dan Harlan. In one of the scene, Dan Harlan is a robot and he was trying to watch a VHS tape by plugging two wires into the nipples of his Minotaur amour. It was a funny watching this type of scene in a magic DVD.
As for the routines, there is plenty of it and all of them are pretty good too. The range is also very wide and there is bound to have something that is suitable for everyone. The effects were contributed by different magicians during the Minotaur magazine days. The contributors were Max Maven, David Neighbors, Dan Harlan and Tome Craven….just to name a few.
One of my favorite routine in this DVD is Aqui, this routine uses a key (get it?). A borrowed key is vanished using a hanky and then reappears in a magical way. This routine is very easy to do and it uses a gloppy. By combining it with the gloppy, it makes the routine more interesting and visually entertaining too.
All the items used for the routines are easily available or you can easily make them yourself. It’s been a while since I have been entertained by a magic DVD in a comedic way and it’s not even a DVD on comedy magic. Do yourself a favor and buy this DVD, you’ll be happy after watching it. Highly recommended!
